DESCRIPTION:Hybrid – July 2021 Lunch and Learn\n\nStreaming Video for those who cannot join in person (12pm-1pm)\nOur topic for presentation will be :\nWater Penetration and Air Leakage Testing of Flanged Window Details\n\nOur speaker will be: Keith A. Simon, AIA, CPHC, BECxP, CxA+BE, LEED AP, CEI SENIOR ARCHITECTURAL CONSULTANT, SENIOR ASSOCIATE\nPROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:\nMr. Simon joined Building Exterior Solutions, Inc. (a division of Terracon) in April of 2014. He is a Registered Architect, Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC), Legacy LEED AP, and Building Enclosure Commissioning Provider (BECxP) with over 15 years’ experience in\narchitectural design and building enclosure consultation. His experience includes peer review, design assistance, durability analysis, construction administration, testing, and forensics of building envelope issues and is the Building Enclosures Department Manager for Terracon’s Austin Facilities office. Mr. Simon was the founder of the Austin Building Enclosure Council\n(BEC: Austin) and currently serves as a board member for BEC: Austin and the Passive House Austin Chapter as well as the Secretary for the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) Building Enclosure and Technology Environment Council (BETEC) executive committee. Mr. Simon is a Terracon SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Hygrothermal Modeling and Building Enclosure Commissioning (BECx). Mr. Simon is also a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Society of Building Science Educators (SBSE), and has been adjunct faculty at the University of Texas School of Architecture (UTSoA) in Austin since 2011.
