TAC and Codes and Standards Committee Seek Your Input

The IIBEC Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) and Codes and Standards Committee (CSC) need your input. A major TAC objective is to identify building enclosure technical issues important to IIBEC membership. As you encounter topics, issues, or concerns, please notify the TAC so they may be considered for possible advisory development. Technical Advisories are developed and approved by the TAC, reviewed and approved by the IIBEC Board of Directors, and then posted to the IIBEC website for use.

Lorenz New Voting Member of ASHRAE 90.1 Subcommittee

IIBEC Senior Director of Technical Services Emily Lorenz, PE, FACI has been granted voting status on the Envelope Subcommittee of ASHRAE 90.1—Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings. The subcommittee develops provisions for ASHRAE 90.1, which is an alternate compliance path to the International Energy Conservation Code. Her four-year term began July 1, 2022.

IIBEC TAC Issues Advisories

The mission of the IIBEC Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) is to respond to technical issues related to the building enclosure industry and develop advisories and policy statements for the building enclosure industry for approval by the IIBEC Board of Directors. The TAC meets bimonthly to consider issues raised by the general IIBEC membership or TAC members. In the last year, TAC has developed three technical advisories (TAs).

ASHRAE Releases Three Addenda for Public Review
