IIBEC Credentialing Application Process

Candidates are encouraged to use the online interactive electronic process to complete the application.

A user account is all that is required to log in to the portal to complete an application. You may enter and save the information until the application has been completed.  It can then be electronically submitted to IIBEC for review and approval.  Once begun, the application must be completed and submitted to IIBEC within one year or the application in process will expire.

Once an application is submitted to IIBEC, allow 90 days for processing.  The application will be processed within 60 days for an additional expediting fee ($50 member/$75 nonmember).  The  Exams are administered online at over 1,000 conveniently located testing centers worldwide. An exam registration form will be provided to the candidate when the application has been approved. Once the registration form and exam fees have been received, the candidate’s information will be conveyed to Scantron, the Internet-based testing company.  The applicant will then be contacted by Scantron to schedule the testing session.

Computer-based testing is offered on demand, to approved candidates, based on individual testing center hours and availability. Consult Meazure Learning for testing center locations.

The Registered Building Enclosure Consultant designation will be awarded to those who have earned the Registered Roof Consultant (RRC), Registered Waterproofing Consultant (RWC), and Registered Exterior Wall Consultant (REWC) registrations. The RBEC title may be listed in addition to the other three consultant titles. While there are no fees or exam involved, individuals desiring this designation will be required to complete a form.
