IIBEC North Texas Chapter Lunch and Learn – Building Enclosure Commissioning: 5 Keys for Success!
Building Enclosure Commissioning (BECx) is required and implemented on more projects than ever before. It is widely accepted that an effective BECx program can be used to improve quality of design and construction such that the owner’s goals are met. However, without sufficient planning, coordination, or scope, BECx can become diluted and lose value. This presentation reviews five important components to maximizing the value of BECx.
- Learn key criteria and coordination for development of the Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR).
- Identify important review concepts, scheduling, and tracking guidelines for the Basis of Design and design deliverables.
- Understand how the specifications and project testing criteria can be accurately specified.
- Learn best practice process and techniques for field verification.
