The Warsan municipal building in Dubai, claiming to be the world’s largest 3D-printed two-story building, opened in October 2019. It has been entered into the Guinness Book of World Records as the first two-story printed building.
The building is 9.5 m (31 ft.) tall and 640 m2 (6,889 ft.2). It underwent a year of testing to ensure it met the emirate’s building standards.
Officials said construction costs were cut from about 2.5 million AED ($680,660 U.S.) to less than 1 million AED ($272,264 U.S.) and required just half the workers a traditionally built comparable structure would have taken.
