As unexpected as this may be, the IIBEC Georgia Chapter serves members in the great state of Georgia!

In your opinion, what has been your most successful event in the last few years?
Typically our most successful event is Boston Red Sox vs. Atlanta Braves since both of them are such awesome teams.
Within the last couple of years, IIBEC has updated its strategic plan with a renewed focus on advocacy for our members. Is your chapter currently working on any local advocacy issues?
Yes, our chapter is working with the state’s building code officials to modify portions of the state code by amendments that we are further promoting to the International Building Code (IBC) authority to modify the IBC.
What has been your greatest benefit from chapter involvement, either personally or professionally?
The ability to meet so many other professionals that have provided friendship and professional knowledge, even though they may be your competition.
What would be your advice to the next generation of consultants?
Don’t come to an event and be an outsider. Get involved, talk to the other attendees and get to know them.
