IIBEC is pleased to announce that we have a new chapter, the Virginia Chapter.
The IIBEC New England Chapter will host their Third Annual Golf Classic on Monday, September 30, 2019. The North Texas Chapter will hold their golfing event on October 31, 2019. Both were featured in last month’s Chapter News, which you can read at the provided links. The Colorado Chapter will have a golfing event on October 4, and the Portland Chapter will host a golf tournament on September 19. Details are below.
The IIBEC Colorado Chapter (formerly the Denver Chapter of RCI) is pleased to announce a date change for their Golf Outing at Fox Hollow, which was previously scheduled September 6, 2019. The IIBEC Colorado Chapter Board of Directors (BOD) agreed to change the date to Friday, October 4, 2019. This golf outing is the chapter’s student scholarship fundraiser for the University of Colorado, Boulder; Colorado State University; Colorado School of Mines; and the University of Wyoming. This outing also funds a donation from the chapter to the RCI Foundation and the CRA Training Center.

On September 12, 2019, the IIBEC Mid-Atlantic Chapter will host “Moon over the Magothy” their tenth annual crab feast, on the Magothy River in Pasadena, MD, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
The event will include steamed crabs, catered barbeque, salads and sides, beverages (soda, beer, wine, and iced tea), awesome views, and networking opportunities.
Come and enjoy the bayside atmosphere while on the banks of the Magothy River with your industry peers, feasting on the local bounty. In an effort to attract new IIBEC members in the region, the Mid-Atlantic Chapter encourages you to bring a guest who may also benefit from chapter events and industry networking.
This neighborhood pavilion venue offers a tranquil view of the Magothy River and Gibson Island.

On Thursday, September 19, 2019, the IIBEC Portland Chapter will host their third annual golf tournament at Heron Lakes Golf Course, 3500 N Victory Boulevard, in Portland, OR. Registration will begin at 10:30 AM, with lunch at 11:30 AM, and a shotgun start at 12:30 PM. Dinner with a raffle and awards will begin at approximately 6:15 PM. The IIBEC Southern California (So Cal) Chapter (formerly the So Cal Chapter of RCI, Inc.), hosted their annual Membership Drive & Summer Social on August 1, 2019, at Splitsville – Downtown Disney in Anaheim, CA.
For the first time, the chapter held their event at a bowling alley as a fun way for the community to get together, mingle, and knock down some pins! Splitsville graciously hosted approximately 52 guests, many of whom participated in the exciting and outrageously fun bowling tournament. Attendees escaped the evening heat while enjoying delicious appetizers and food, refreshing beverages, and of course, great company. IIBEC So Cal Chapter President Kyle Eazor led the evening with a warm welcome for all in attendance, including some chapter news updates and rallying potential speakers for our fall lineup of technical dinner meetings. The event offered the opportunity for members and nonmembers to network and socialize in a casual and interactive open setting, while enjoying some good, competitive team bowling.
Even though everyone was a winner for showing up, the chapter recognizes Ryan Garcia and Joseph Schettino for achieving the highest and lowest scores of the tournament – they won’t say who got which. Ryan and Joseph took home the grand prizes: complimentary registrations to either one of IIBEC So Cal Chapter’s big 2020 events—their 20th anniversary Hawaii Winter Workshop in January, or their 18th Annual Golf Tournament in April. Congratulations, gentlemen.
The IIBEC So Cal Chapter members appreciate everyone who made the time to attend and help make the IIBEC So Cal Chapter Membership Drive & Summer Social a wonderful and truly memorable experience. The National Capital Branch of the IIBEC Southern Ontario Chapter will host Roof Technology & Science I on October 3-4, 2019, at Algonquin College in Ottawa, ON. The class will run from from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EDT both days, and attendees will be eligible for 16 IIBEC CEHs.
