The IIBEC North Texas Chapter had a wonderful event to celebrate IIBEC’s 40th birthday, hosting a panel discussion, “Future Proofing Historical Buildings,” which included Jonathan Haywood (Andres Construction), Jennifer Picquet-Reyes (Merriman Anderson Architects), Dudley McFarquhar (The McFarquhar Group), Jeff Benson (Dynamic Glass), and Stefanie Schober (Lerch Bates), with Tamara Higgins (Lerch Bates) as moderator.
The chapter took this opportunity to recognize the exceptional efforts of the following members: Chapter Past President Seth Brooks for his efforts over the course of his time on the board; Melissa Stafford as Volunteer of the Year for her diligent work coordinating the chapter’s “lunch and learn” series; and Mallory Buckley for the most outstanding presentation of 2022.
The IIBEC North Texas Chapter also opened its mentorship by sponsoring 10 students from the University of Texas Arlington. The students were able to network and learn from others in the industry.
After the panel discussion, members of the IIBEC North Texas Chapter shared lunch and camaraderie while practicing their golf swings at the TopGolf bays.

The IIBEC New England Chapter held its 6th annual golf classic on Monday, June 5, 2023. The chapter’s primary fundraiser included an auction, raffle prizes, a helicopter ball drop, dinner, DJ, awards, and a round of golf at the Charter Oaks Country Club in Hudson, Massachusetts.
On the course, golfers had the opportunity to use an air cannon for the drive on one hole and to win a vehicle by making a hole-in-one on another. The chapter was able to raise funds through golf registrations and multiple sponsorships for charitable causes that included scholarships, the Jimmy Fund, Project Hope, Hearth Senior Housing, Make-a-Wish, and the ALS Research Fund.

On May 18, 2023, the IIBEC Georgia Chapter held its annual golf tournament at Bear’s Best Golf Club in Suwanee, Georgia, designed by golfer Jack Nicklaus. A total of 20 teams consisting of 80 golfers competed in a “best ball scramble” format over 18 holes. The annual tournament included breakfast, lunch, a raffle, and awards ceremony.
The competition was fierce, but in the end the winning team of Bryce McQueen, Chad Landman, Taylor King, and Kelly Ray prevailed with a winning score of 59 (-13 under par).
The event was sponsored by six industry partners who have been great supporters of both IIBEC and the IIBEC Georgia Chapter. A special thanks is given to James Hoag, the current Georgia Chapter Vice President who organized the event, as well as to Rick Gardner, RCI-IIBEC Foundation development officer, who spoke about the RCI-IIBEC Foundation.
The chapter would like to thank the following sponsors:
