IIBEC Colorado Chapter “Early Fall” Golf Tournament Held to Provide Student Scholarships

The IIBEC Colorado Chapter would like to thank their sponsors and attendees for making the 12th  Annual “Early Fall” Golf Tournament held on October 8 at the Fox Hollow Golf Course a success!  The weather was perfect, with a high of 84 degrees.  Prizes were awarded at the team and individual levels for longest putt, longest drive, and closest to the pin.   After the outing, attendees enjoyed a BBQ boxed lunch while safely social distancing at the Fox Hollow East Patio.

The chapter thanks its four platinum sponsors, B & M Roofing, Empire Roofing, Rocky Mountain Reps, and Clark Rheem and Associates, Inc., as well as their bronze sponsors, Flynn Denver, and Derbigum Americas, for their support.

Proceeds from this annual tournament assist the chapter in providing for scholarships for the University of Colorado Boulder, Colorado State University, University of Wyoming, and Colorado School of Mines.  The chapter also makes a donation to the Colorado Roofing Association and the RCI-IIBEC Foundation.

IIBEC Virginia Chapter

• October 31, 2020 – The IIBEC Virginia Chapter is sponsoring a team for the Virtual Grief Relief 5k on Halloween day.    This philanthropic effort supports Comfort Zone Camp.  This camp is a 501(c)(3) bereavement organization that provides free camps for children who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or primary caregiver.  The camps include therapeutic opportunities, as well as an outlet for the children to help process their grief. To get everyone in the spirit of the holiday and event, the Virginia Chapter will be awarding cash prizes to costumed individuals, duos, and most importantly, to the best dressed four-legged friends!  For more information and to register, click here!
• December 15-16, 2020:  Register today for the IIBEC Virginia Chapter’s hosting of Rooftop Quality Assurance.  This virtual class will be presented in four-hour segments, over the course of two consecutive days.

IIBEC North Texas Chapter

• November 4, 2020 – Register today for the IIBEC North Texas Chapter‘s hybrid presentation of Professional Building Consulting presented by Michael Blanchette, F-IIBEC, RRC, RRO and Warren French, F-IIBEC, RBEC, PE.  As a hybrid presentation, this class will be offered both virtually, as well as in person at the Live! by Loews Hotel in Arlington, TX.  For additional information, agendas, sponsorship opportunities, and rooming discounts, please visit the IIBEC North Texas Chapter’s website.

IIBEC Ohio Valley Chapter

• November 2020 – The IIBEC Ohio Valley Chapter will be presenting the Fundamentals of Roofing:  Critical Factors in Design in four separate 90 minute sessions.  Presented by Stephen Cooper, RRC, RRO, CDT; Denise Diestel; and Bill Spencer, RRO; these sessions, both IIBEC and AIA approved will be held on the following days:
  • Tuesday, November 10 – Introduction
  • Tuesday, November 17 – Design Stage Factors
  • Tuesday, November 24 – Construction State Factors
  • Tuesday, December 1 – Facility Use Factors
