This March, the roofing industry will come together as never before to make our collective voices heard in our nation’s capital during the inaugural Roofing Day in D.C. 2018.
RCI is partnering with NRCA, organizers of the event, and multiple roofing industry associations and organizations in a coalition of voices. Together we can make a difference on critical issues facing our industry surrounding regulatory reform, workforce development, and immigration reform. RCI is an official sponsor of the groundbreaking event.
Our collective goal is to have 1,000 roofing professionals participate. This is a unique and exciting opportunity, as we will take over Capitol Hill and speak as a united industry!
RCI is asking you to participate. The event includes a reception Tuesday night, March 6, featuring speaker Mick Mulvaney, former South Carolina congressman and current director of the Office of Management and Budget; a breakfast Wednesday, March 7; and advocacy training following the breakfast on how best to communicate with members of Congress and their staffs. Congressional appointments will be scheduled for you, starting at 10:30 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
All you have to do is show up to join the roofing industry in delivering our message with one voice. Registration for Roofing Day is just $49 to help cover a portion of the event expenses.
Organizers are also looking for Team Captains from each state. To be a Team Captain, you agree to participate in Roofing Day in D.C. 2018, assist in the promotion of the event, and recruit industry colleagues from your state. Team captains will receive reimbursement for one night’s hotel stay and recognition at the breakfast March 7.
