If you attended the RCI 2018 International Convention and Trade Show or one of the myriad chapter meetings and industry events at which he has appeared in recent months, you already know that RCI’s new CEO Lionel van der Walt is a veritable force of nature. On top of throwing himself into the role as CEO and chief proponent of all things RCI, van der Walt has also recently been appointed to the PayCargo Board of Directors. This illustrious appointment will boost van der Walt’s already solid profile, and, by association, the prestige of RCI. PayCargo CEO Eduardo Del Riego cited van der Walt’s “passionate leadership and one-of-a-kind international business acumen” as factors in their decision to include him on the board. The board position reflects van der Walt’s previous role as president of Cargo Network Services Corporation. The new appointment will not affect his current role as CEO of RCI.
