IIBEC to Co-Host 2020 International Conference on Building Envelope Systems and Technologies (ICBEST)

IIBEC, the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants, is partnering with NRCC, The National Research Council of Canada, to co-host the 2020 International Conference on Building Envelope Systems and Technologies (ICBEST). The 2020 ICBEST conference will take place August 31 – September 2, 2020, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada at the Westin Bayshore Hotel.


ICBEST – The International Conference on Building Envelope Systems and Technologies provides a worldwide forum for the exchange of information and discussion of recent developments in, and applications of, building envelope engineering. ICBEST’s scope is to bring together engineers, architects, scientists, and practitioners with a common interest to promote new knowledge and practice of building envelope systems and technologies.

IIBEC – The International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants is an international association of professional consultants, architects, and engineers who specialize in the specification and design of roofing, waterproofing, and exterior walls. Since 1983, IIBEC’s (formerly RCI, Inc.’s) Consultant members have offered unbiased design, repair planning, quality assurance observance, legal testimony, and general roofing and other building enclosure management services. Its Consultant members adhere to a strict code of ethics that offers unprejudiced service without affiliation with any product or manufacturer. IIBEC’s 3600 members boast an international constituency residing across the United States and Canada, as well as Australia, the West Indies, Europe, and Asia.

NRC – The National Research Council of Canada is the primary national research and technology organization of the government of Canada in science and technology research and development. It is governed by a council of appointees drawn from its client community. The NRC’s intent is to shorten the gap between early stage research and development and commercialization. The NRC partners with Canadian industry to take research from the lab to the marketplace. It is uniquely placed to partner with Canadian industry to invest in strategic R&D programming that will address critical issues for the future. Each year, its scientists, engineers, and business experts work closely with thousands of Canadian firms, helping them bring new technologies to market to support Canadian businesses.
