On July 28, the Great Lakes Chapter hosted its tenth annual baseball game and tailgate party. The Detroit Tigers took on the Houston Astros. Although the mighty Tigers didn’t come out on top this year, the tailgate party was another big hit! Held in the old Michigan Theatre, Pat and Al Fritsch were the chefs, and once again, their brisket and pulled pork were mouthwatering and succulent. There were some pretty competitive cornhole games, and with almost 100 attendees, the camaraderie was great. Congrats to Bret Pienkosz for winning the $500 square game!

The RCI Ontario Chapter is thrilled to announce that it will be live streaming its educational seminars starting next month. A trial run was conducted last month at their last breakfast seminar, and was met with pretty positive reviews. The September breakfast seminar will be webcast to those who would like to participate but can’t attend the event live. It is targeted at those who live in the Province of Ontario but reside outside of the Greater Toronto area. The Ontario Chapter still strives to have as many attendees as possible to participate in the live educational seminar, but does acknowledge that given the geography of our area, that there often are many members who may not be able to attend. The webcast should provide an alternative option for members to continue to participate in the great educational events that the chapter has to offer.
