While you’re feeling nice this holiday season, other folks are being quite naughty.
IIBEC wants to remind you that if you get a list-related email that seems fishy, you don’t need to check it twice to know that it’s a scam. IIBEC does not sell its members’/attendees’ email addresses.
IIBEC is aware of convention exhibitors that have been contacted with offers to sell them our “list of attendees.” These are scams. We’ve posted an alert again this year warning about such offers. Perhaps you’ve seen it on our site:
Be aware there are organizations offering the IIBEC convention attendee list. IIBEC has no affiliation with any of these entities. IIBEC does not sell its membership or event attendee lists, and these are not official IIBEC communications. We strongly recommend you to not respond to these solicitations and treat them as spam.
So as you settle in for the November and December holidays, keep in good cheer. Know that your email address has not been sold to anyone offering to sell you a list of IIBEC members or IIBEC meeting attendees. Don’t respond to any such offer. Don’t click. Don’t reply. Just put some holiday music on, and have another glass of eggnog.
We’ll see you at the 2025 IIBEC International Convention and Trade Show next March.
