Emerging Professionals

Our next “Blueprints of an Enclosure Career,” with Jennifer Keegan, senior director of building and roofing science for GAF and Siplast, takes place October 22, 2026. With more than 25 years in the building enclosure industry, Jennifer has built a career rooted in technical expertise, industry leadership, and advancing opportunities for women in the profession. Jennifer will be interviewed by Caroline Byrne, senior consulting engineer in Simpson Gumpertz & Heger’s Los Angeles office.

It’s all free of charge, so we hope that you’ll invite your peers and encourage the next generation of consultants, the students and interns in your circle, to listen in, ask questions, and get inspired!

The RCI-IIBEC Foundations are proud to have awarded over $175,000 in scholarships to more than 50 students. Available scholarships include:

• Robert W. Lyons Scholarship: Awarding $5,000 each to four undergraduate students pursuing studies in engineering, architecture, or construction sciences;

• Lewis W. Newland Scholarship: Awarding $2,500 each to four undergraduate and graduate students demonstrating financial need and a passion for the building enclosure field.

• Joe Hale Student Sponsorship: Awarding students with complimentary registration, travel, and meals to the IIBEC International Convention & Trade Show and/or the Building Enclosure Symposium.
