Overview

Earning the REWC credential validates a consultant’s knowledge of exterior wall systems, ability to safeguard buildings against air and moisture intrusion, ensure code compliance, and optimize the performance and aesthetics of the building enclosure. 

REWCs commonly:

  • Design and review wall system details, drawings, and technical specifications for new and existing buildings.
  • Assess and diagnose building envelope and exterior wall conditions to identify performance issues.
  • Recommend repair, restoration, or recladding solutions that improve performance and extend service life.
  • Observe construction activities to ensure quality control, proper installation, and adherence to contract documents.
