Building operations and characteristics will be discussed and the sources of moisture/condensation will be identified. Various design approaches and critical details will be presented. Case studies will be presented focusing on investigating principles and effective communication with building owners and other stakeholders. Basic knowledge of building science and thermal design. Understanding of the various roofing systems. Identify moisture sources and how condensation and moisture damage can be eliminated. Suggest best practices for detailing and installing these roofing assemblies.
