Shannon Duhon, October 25, 1963–July 13, 2023 September 22, 2023 The industry experienced a great loss this year with the passing of Shannon Duhon of Duhon's Roof Consulting LLC. Shannon was a member of IIBEC for nearly 20 years and the president of IIBEC Florida in 2019 and 2020. Shannon Lee Duhon was born to Janice Choate and Thomas Lee Duhon on October 25, 1963, in Abbeville, Louisiana, and passed away on July 13, 2023, in Port St Lucie, Florida. Brian Barrows, July 4, 1947–June 3, 2023 June 22, 2023 Longtime IIBEC member Brian Barrows, RRC, CCS, CSRP, died on June 3, 2023. According to a LinkedIn post from Barrows’ daughter, Melissa Barrows-Lieb, RRC, RRO, CCCA, CDT, the cause of death was dementia. A member of IIBEC from 1986 to 2022, Barrows obtained his Registered Roof Consultant® credential in 1991. An active member of IIBEC’s Chicago Area Chapter, Barrows was a frequent speaker at IIBEC events. Among his nearly 40 IIBEC speaking engagements were talks on life-cycle costs, roof warranties, RRO ethics, reroofing considerations, and building codes. Read More
