Applications for the 2026 IIBEC Building Enclosure Symposium (BES) College Student Sponsorship are now open, and we hope you’ll share this opportunity.

The 2026 BES will be held October 18–20 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Selected students receive full symposium registration, travel reimbursement up to $750, two nights of lodging (double occupancy), a meal stipend, and a one-year IIBEC student membership.

To qualify, students must be enrolled full-time (minimum 12 credit hours per semester) in architecture; architectural, structural, or civil engineering; construction management; building sciences; or a related field. Up to 25 students may be selected, with priority given to first-time recipients and no more than three students from the same university.

To apply, students must submit:

  1. A completed application
  2. A letter of recommendation from a professor or instructor
  3. A short essay (150 words max) on their interest in their field and what they hope to gain from attending the BES

The application deadline is Friday, July 31, 2026. Completed applications should be emailed back to me at rgardner@iibec.org.
