March 11, 2026—An expected 1,500 building enclosure consultants and design professionals rushed to Sacramento, California, this week—but not for gold, as in the 1800s. Instead, the city played host to the building enclosure industry’s premier event, the 2026 IIBEC International Convention and Trade Show.
The show, running March 12–15, is taking place at the SAFE Convention Center. Registration and Badge Pickup started Wednesday. The IIBEC Board of Directors met to discuss the organization’s current health and future plans, with several IIBEC staff members reporting to the board on recent membership trends and achievements.
Thursday, March 12, starts early with the Foundations’ Golf Tournament at the Haggin Oaks Alister MacKenzie Course, and with an all-day auxiliary seminar focused on reroofing. IIBEC committees will meet throughout the afternoon, ahead of the annual Welcome Reception.
A trade show featuring more than 140 exhibitors opens Friday, March 13, and runs through Saturday, March 14.
