Abstracts are being sought for the 15th International Conference on Durability of Building Materials and Components (XV|DBMC) to be held June 30 to July 3, 2020, in Barcelona, Spain. Papers are due October 20 with final materials due January 20, 2020.
Abstracts are sought on building physics and durability; service life prediction methodologies; durability approaches for historical buildings; building pathology and durability; asset and maintenance management; durability of materials, systems, and components; sustainability and durable construction; BIM and durability; large sample-size studies in durability; and durability, natural hazards, and climate change.
A session evolving from CIB Commission W80, Prediction of Service Life of Building Materials and Components, will reportedly likely be included at the conference. This session will focus on papers associated with a recently initiated three-year W80 research program titled Design for Durability of Building Materials, Components, and Assemblies. It will likely include a paper on the durability of roof design in regard to hail and windborne debris.
