Roofing Day 2023 may be nine months away, but IIBEC and other sponsors recently shared ideas on how Roofing Day could be made more inclusive and appeal to a wider audience. To achieve this, both IIBEC and the Polyisocyanurate Insulation Manufacturers Association (PIMA) participated in the recent Roofing Day Advisory Committee meeting, which was held in conjunction with the NRCA’s Midyear Meeting in Chicago, Illinois, July 13–15, 2022, to start planning for next year’s event, scheduled for April 18–19, 2023.
During the committee meeting PIMA and IIBEC shared ideas on speakers and sessions that would increase the event’s appeal to the broader industry, along with legislative ideas that would impact the consultant and manufacturing sectors.
Brian Pallasch, chief executive officer and executive vice president of IIBEC, said, “Each year that the industry gathers in Washington we grow politically stronger as we meet with members of Congress and their staffs to build relationships and discuss solutions to problems we face in our work. I am encouraged that NRCA is willing to continue its leadership role in organizing the event, and I am confident that as sponsors step up to identify topics, speakers, and legislative issues, we will increase participation and our sector’s political strength along with it.”
