Little by Little, AmazonSmile Impact on Foundation Adds Up

Since 2019, the RCI-IIBEC Foundation has been participating in the AmazonSmile program. The program is a way for the foundation’s donors to support the foundation through their regular purchases on Amazon. Using a special portal, Smile.Amazon.com, and selecting the foundation as a beneficiary, Amazon gives a small percentage of all purchases to the foundation. This past quarter, AmazonSmile sent $84.17, our highest donation to date. In total, the foundation has received $423.38 since the program began.

“It’s a no-brainer” said RCI-IIBEC Foundation Chair Mike Blanchette, F-IIBEC, RRC, RRO. ”We love the simplicity of AmazonSmile, and little by little, these amounts have added up.  My family and I can support the foundation through our regular purchases without even thinking about it. I hope everyone in IIBEC will consider signing up, designating the foundation, and using AmazonSmile for their personal and company purchases.”

Participating is easy. Just follow these steps:

• Sign up at https://smile.amazon.com/ or download the Amazon Shopping app for iOS and Android phones and activate.
• Search for RCI-IIBEC Foundation and select us as your beneficiary.
• Do your Amazon shopping, and remember to bookmark https://smile.amazon.com/ so that any of your shopping on Amazon will benefit the foundation.
• The AmazonSmile Foundation donates 0.5% of the purchase price from all eligible AmazonSmile purchases.
