We cannot forget our core, and how we got here, as The Roofing Consultants Institute – our history, and those that got us here, cannot be forgotten. IIBEC needs to continue our strong foothold in the roofing industry with the already recognized RRC and RRO programs and certifications. As we extend into other building envelope specialities it is important IIBEC sieze the opportunity to become the leader in all aspects of the building envelope industry. This includes alliances with other professional, governmental and industry organizations, and promoting our waterproofing and exterior wall certifications. By remembering our past, and planning our future, IIBEC will be the “go to” organization for the building envelope industry.

Technical Publications
IIBEC, Inc. is the organization that is and should be the driving force in the roofing and building envelope industry and profession for education and registrations.
In this time of COVID and volatile market and record inflation, it should be IIBEC’s role to continue to solidify and promote our organization and the Building Envelope Consulting industry. Now, more than ever, IIBEC needs to support its members and chapters by modernizing communication, education and netwroking events like the convention and building envelope symposium.
With the aging population of our member base, it is more important than ever to promote the organizaiton to attract younger and a more diverse membership. I believe that attracting younger members from universities, trade schools and at early stages of their career is paramount to bringing in new membsers to our industry and continue the growth of IIBEC.
IIBEC sould continue to develop and increase our recognization and profile in the building envelope industry and ensure that our registrations become more recognized. Advocating for our members and registrations needs to be a priority, and we need to develop plans and committ resources to promote IIBEC within the industry.

Serving as Region I Director for the past two years has been an incredibly rewarding and enriching experience. It has been a privilege to serve on the Board, participate in decision-making and goal-setting for IIBEC, be a part of some exciting new initiatives, and witness the other Board members’ commitment and passion to this organization and our industry. During my term, I have gotten to know the leaders of the Chapters in Region I, attended their board meetings and events, provided encouragement and assistance whenever possible, and met some truly amazing IIBEC members along the way. I have a connection with the Region I Chapters; I am proud of their accomplishments and they know they can count on me for help and support. I want to do everything I can to help them succeed and grow because strong local Chapters are one key to strengthening IIBEC and the industry as a whole.

I grew up in a small town in northern Pennsylvania. Not Scranton; I mean seriously northern – when you can read the “I ♥ NY” sign in the distance, you’re there. It’s a very scenic place and I enjoy visiting my parents who still live there, but I also enjoy returning home afterward to a place with more people than cows. After bouncing around for school, I found myself in the Philadelphia area and have enjoyed living here since 2002.
My hobbies include gardening, hiking, bike riding, reading, and cooking. I have an older brother who lives in Colorado, I hate broccoli (ok, hate is a strong word…I dislike it intensely), I like nature with the exception of mosquitoes and dandelions, I’m a big fan of ice cream and brownies but not together, and I secretly like animated movies but I would never admit it publicly.
