Former Member Edward Betker Passes Away

Edward “Ed” Betker, 64, of Crystal, MN, died May 9, 2018, following a fall. Ed was a longtime Consultant member of RCI, having earned his RRC in 1994. He was a former chair of the Publications Committee, and a speaker at RCI events. Betker was a roof consultant for many years, and had worked at Roof Evaluation for a decade following employment at Inspec’s Minneapolis office.

Garrigus Honored by SPRI

Peter C. Garrigus, vice president of engineering at Trufast LLC, was recognized by the Single Ply Roofing Industry (SPRI) for his thought leadership and dedication in facilitating the development of an industry coalition charged with determining the impact on wind loads on flexible roof systems and to develop appropriate load factors to apply to wind loads calculated by ASCE 7. He was also recognized for his services on the SPRI board of directors. Garrigus is an Industry member of RCI.
