Student Sponsorship Applications for 2019 RCI Convention and Trade Show Now Being Accepted

RCI, Inc., an international association of professional consultants, architects, and engineers who specialize in the building enclosure arena, is pleased to announce that the RCI Foundation is again providing funding for up to 25 full-time undergraduate college students to attend the RCI 2019 International Convention and Trade Show. This year’s convention will be held in Orlando, Florida, on March 14-19, 2019. Students who are awarded this funding will receive a complimentary convention registration and a travel expense stipend, as well as a one-year student RCI membership.

To be eligible, students must be undergraduates enrolled full time in architecture, architectural engineering, structural or civil engineering, construction management, or other related areas of study. Up to 25 students are eligible for this award. Eligible students may receive the funding twice during their academic career. Depending on availability, up to three students from the same university may be selected.

The sponsorship includes RCI convention registration, up to four nights of lodging at the convention hotel, reimbursement for meals, cost of travel up to $400 (receipts required), and a one-year RCI student membership.

Sponsorship recipients will be required to:

• Attend a minimum of ten hours of educational presentations and devote three hours to the trade show floor.
• Interact informally with staff, committees, mentors, and the RCI Board of Directors during the convention.
• Participate in marketing efforts by sharing their experience of the convention and the knowledge gained.
• Attend the RCI Foundations Auction as guests of the Foundations.

Students interested in receiving the convention sponsorship should complete the application, procure a letter of recommendation from a professor, and write an essay explaining their field of study and what they hope to gain by attending the RCI International Convention and Trade Show. The application and all supporting documentation must be received no later than February 1, 2019.
