2026–2027 Foundation Scholarship Recipients Announced July 08, 2026 The RCI-IIBEC Foundation is excited to announce the eight winners of its 2026–2027 Robert W. Lyons and RCI Lewis W. Newlan academic scholarships. The $5,000 Lyons scholarship is specifically for undergraduate education expenses for students studying construction or building sciences, architecture, or engineering. The RCI Lewis W. Newlan scholarship is for $2,500 and is open to both undergraduate and graduate students—again for studies in construction or building sciences, architecture, or engineering. Applications Now Available for BES Student Sponsorship May 08, 2026 Applications for the 2026 IIBEC Building Enclosure Symposium (BES) College Student Sponsorship are now open, and we hope you'll share this opportunity. The 2026 BES will be held October 18–20 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Selected students receive full symposium registration, travel reimbursement up to $750, two nights of lodging (double occupancy), a meal stipend, and a one-year IIBEC student membership. Read More
Foundation Approves Research on the Economic Impact of Consultants April 20, 2026 The RCI-IIBEC Foundation, in collaboration with IIBEC, has approved funding for a comprehensive research study designed to quantify and communicate the economic influence of IIBEC consultant members on the selection and purchase of building enclosure materials through the specification process. Foundation Scholarship Deadlines Set December 03, 2025 Academic scholarship applications for the Robert W. Lyons and RCI Lewis W. Newlan awards will be accepted from December 10, 2025, through April 14, 2026. Each year the RCI-IIBEC Foundation awards up to $30,000 in scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in an accredited program of architecture, architectural engineering, structural or civil engineering, construction, or building sciences. Since 2018, the foundation has awarded $227,500 in scholarships to 65 students through this program. Read More
