IIBEC Credentials flyer.Do you have an IIBEC credential? Are you thinking about applying for an IIBEC credential and seeking guidance?

IIBEC recently developed a new credentials FAQ to address common questions relating to IIBEC’s internationally recognized credentials programs. These questions and answers outline credential policies, application procedures, exam registration questions, and annual renewal requirements. The credentialing team is working to make the experience more user friendly while maintaining the same standards of qualification. In particular, we are excited to announce that application processing times have been reduced, on average, from 90 days to 75 days. Applications will be processed within 45 days for an additional expediting fee. Because the IIBEC online application recognizes continuing education hours recorded in your IIBEC profile, the application process is now less time consuming. The credentialing application system automatically pulls these credits into your application file without having to manually list each course. Self-reporting all continuing education courses in your IIBEC User Portal will expedite the application and/or annual renewal process. The IIBEC User Portal includes several new tools specifically for certifications, including the ability to download a formal certificate on-demand or view and download your transcript of continuing education courses.

IIBEC Credential Programs

Recognizing the need for qualifications and standards in a largely unregulated industry, building enclosure professionals can establish their credentials through IIBEC. All programs require applicants to pass a rigorous application screening process and to achieve satisfactory performance on an examination. Each credential represents individuals who possess a high level of competence, experience, and ethical standards, along with a commitment to continuous education. Holding an IIBEC credential is an industry distinction of merit and honor. IIBEC members receive a 25–35% discount on application, exam, and annual renewal fees.
