At its December 2022 meeting, the International Code Council’s (ICC’s) Code Correlation Committee added both of IIBEC’s secondary-drainage-related code change proposals (CCPs) to the 2024 International Existing Building Code. The CCPs were originally proposed and approved for the 2024 International Building Code and International Residential Code. IIBEC Senior Director of Technical Services Emily Lorenz, PE, testified in support during the online December meeting. Additional information on the outcomes of the CCPs can be found here.
The 2026 IIBEC Building Enclosure Symposium (BES) is now accepting abstract submissions through January 14, 2026.
