RCI Foundation Approves $60,000 Donation For Harvey Relief

Back To News
September 7, 2017

The RCI Foundation has approved contributions totaling $60,000 to the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. The Houston Food Bank and The Salvation Army of Greater Houston will each receive $30,000 toward their work in the area.

Although the Foundation was not founded as a philanthropic organization, the Board felt the devastation and human suffering caused by Hurricane Harvey created a unique situation for humanitarian need. Given the current financial status of the Foundation, the board decided it was in a position to help without jeopardizing its mission of education and research in the building envelope. The board decided on the Houston Food Bank and The Salvation Army of Greater Houston after consulting with local RCI chapters.
