The RCI Foundation Canada has provided scholarships to six students to the Canadian Building Envelope Symposium, held recently in Mississauga, Ontario.
Junmeng Liu is a graduate student from Ottawa, Ontario, and is studying applied building sciences at Ryerson University; Laila Mourad is from Sudbury, Ontario, and is studying at Laurentian University, McEwen School of Architecture; Elina Shubin is from Ottawa, Ontario, and is an undergraduate at Algonquin College working on her degree in building sciences; Janette Meyrick is an undergraduate in the building science program at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario; and Kieran Mortimer is from Brant, ON, and is a fourth-year student in architectural studies at Laurentian University.
The sponsorships for the Canadian Building Envelope Symposium included a year’s membership in RCI, CBES registration, and up to $400 for hotel and travel expenses.
The RCI Foundation Canada would not have been able to make this happen without the support of RCI members. If you are interested in helping the Foundation, please visit: https://give.onecause.com/rcif or contact RCI Development Officer Rick Gardner at 919-859-0742 or rcif@iibec.org.
