May 19, 2022—More than 300 building enclosure professionals are expected to attend the 2022 Building Enclosure Symposium (BES), November 14–15, 2022, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The meeting marks a first‐time partnership between the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) and the Architectural Engineering Institute (AEI) of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
“We couldn’t be more excited to be meeting in person and partnering with AEI to bring the best educational content and industry vendors to BES this November,” said IIBEC Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice President Brian Pallasch, CAE.
Topics at the event will include emerging technologies; codes and standards; specifications; forensics; and restoration. Leaders of the building enclosure consulting community will be exhibiting the latest products and technologies in the field.
The groups also announced a call for abstracts for BES. Interested parties should provide their submissions no later than June 27, 2022. Additional information can be found here.
“Together, IIBEC and AEI will provide the best cross‐functional education for our members and the vendor community in one place this November in Milwaukee,” said IIBEC President Chris Giffin, RRC, AIA. “I hope to see professionals from across the building enclosure industry in Milwaukee this November.”
Christopher Raebel, president, ASCE Architectural Engineering Institute, added, “AEI is excited to partner with a great organization. The integrated practice of architectural engineering is a natural synergy with building enclosure design and performance that we look forward to exploring at this symposium. I can’t wait to see everyone in Milwaukee this fall.”
